A guide for adults 18+

What are Spicy Cubes for couples? A plain-English guide

“Spicy Cubes for couples” is how some sellers label a botanical gummy for adults 18 and over. It is a marketing description, not a medical category. The pouch we sell holds 30 gummies, and each adult decides for themselves whether to take one. No gummy can promise anything about your relationship.

What does “Spicy Cubes for couples” mean on a label?

It describes who the seller hopes will buy the product, and says nothing about what is inside or what it will do. In the United States the FDA does not approve dietary supplements before they are marketed, so the front of a pouch is a sales choice, not a regulator’s verdict. For the basics, see our guide to what Spicy Cubes are.

What is in the gummy we sell?

Each gummy weighs 3 g. The Supplement Facts we hold list chili pepper, maca root and a proprietary blend of muira puama, epimedium, maca root and ginger extracts, given as one combined total. Our ingredients guide gives the amounts and explains the panel, and the pouch you receive is the final word.

Is it the same as other Spicy Cubes products?

Not necessarily. Spicy Cubes is a product name used by more than one seller, and a shared name does not mean a shared formula, so check the Supplement Facts of any product you consider. We are an independent seller: see our independent seller notice or our guide to telling Spicy Cubes sellers apart.

What do sellers promise couples, and what is documented?

Seller pages for gummies “for couples” tend to repeat the same promises. Here is each one set against what is documented.

Do Spicy Cubes work for couples?

We do not claim that they do anything for a couple, for sexual function, for mood or for a relationship, and we are not aware of a published study of this finished gummy. A 2010 maca review, Memorial Sloan Kettering (epimedium) and EBSCO (muira puama) call the research limited or weak. Our evidence guide goes ingredient by ingredient.

We sell Spicy Cubes as a food supplement, not a medicine, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. If your health or your relationship worries you, start with a doctor, a pharmacist or a qualified counsellor, not a supplement.

Do you both have to take them?

No. Each adult decides for themselves, and one of you can take a gummy while the other does not.

If you both try it, each adult takes the same serving: one gummy a day, at the start of the day, as the pack directs. Do not exceed it, split one gummy between two people or take extra to match a partner. If your pack says something different, the pack wins.

How do you talk about it before you start?

  • Ask, do not assume. A no, or a decision to stop later, is a complete answer.
  • No pressure. Nobody should take a supplement to please a partner.
  • No hidden gummies. Never put one in someone’s food or drink without telling them.
  • Share the health facts. Tell each other about medicines and conditions, then each check with a professional.

Consent to intimacy is a separate matter. Planned Parenthood describes it as freely given, specific to each activity, free of pressure, alcohol and drugs, and open to withdrawal at any time. A gummy changes none of that, and taking or offering one is never a yes.

Who can help if something worries you?

If something about your health or sex life worries you, a doctor can check for an underlying cause. Scripps Health, a US health system, tells readers not to self-diagnose and to bring any sexual health concern to a doctor.

Some health services also offer talking therapy to individuals and couples, and a doctor can tell you what is available where you live. One English example is the psychosexual therapy service run by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, which takes GP referrals only and offers up to six sessions after an assessment.

Should each of you check with a doctor or pharmacist first?

Yes, each of you, because your health and medicines are not your partner’s. Spicy Cubes is for adults 18 and over only. Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use if:

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding. Reference sources list a caution for maca, ginger and muira puama. For epimedium, RxList says it is unsafe in pregnancy, and WebMD says it is not known whether it could affect pregnancy or pass into breast milk.
  • You take any medicine, in particular nitrates, blood-pressure or diabetes medicines, or you have a heart or blood-pressure condition. Memorial Sloan Kettering lists heart disease as a reason not to take epimedium.
  • You take blood thinners or have surgery planned. Memorial Sloan Kettering says ginger supplements may raise the risk of bleeding and advises stopping them two weeks before surgery.
  • You have a hormone-sensitive condition or take a medicine that works on hormones, such as an aromatase inhibitor.
  • You have severe liver or kidney disease, any other medical condition, or you are not sure.

Why we mention nitrates

The FDA has warned that some honey-based products sold online for sexual enhancement contained sildenafil and tadalafil that were not on the label. These drugs may interact with nitrate medicines, such as nitroglycerin, and lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. A label cannot show what a maker left off it, and we do not yet hold an independent batch report, so we cannot offer lab proof. If you take a nitrate medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist before you use any supplement.

If you think a supplement has caused a problem, stop taking it, speak to a doctor and, in the United States, report it through the FDA Safety Reporting Portal. Our side effects guide lists each plant’s documented reactions and other reporting routes.

Can you mix them into food or drinks?

We have no information on how heating, melting or mixing changes a gummy, so we do not suggest it. Ask a pharmacist about any drink or medicine you take it with.

How should you store them with children at home?

Keep the pouch out of reach of children and store it as the pack directs. To a small child, a gummy looks like a sweet. The Up & Away campaign says to call Poison Help right away if a child may have got into one, even if you are not completely sure: 1-800-222-1222 in the United States, or your local poison centre or emergency number elsewhere.

Questions couples ask

What do Spicy Cubes for couples do?

We make no claim about what they do. “For couples” is a label some sellers use, not a result.

Are Spicy Cubes for men and women?

They are sold for adults 18 and over, and we make no effect claim for men or for women. Anyone pregnant, breastfeeding or on medicine should ask a doctor or pharmacist first.

Can you take Spicy Cubes with alcohol?

We hold no safety data on combining them with alcohol, so we cannot say. Ask a pharmacist, and never take more than the stated serving.

Are there reviews of Spicy Cubes for couples?

We show no ratings or testimonials, because we cannot verify any. Reviews and videos can be about a different seller’s product, so read how to judge reviews and claims first.

Where can I buy Spicy Cubes for couples?

We sell through our shop at satiovex.com, and a listing elsewhere may be a different product. Our where to buy guide lists packs, shipping and the 30-day money-back guarantee. We ship to the United States, the United Kingdom, the EU, Canada and Australia; check availability for your country at checkout.
